SEATTLE (AP) — Seattle police say a parking enforcement officer was injured when she tried to hand a parking ticket to a man who refused it, started his car and backed over her foot.
Detective Jeff Kappel says the parking officer told the driver to stop Wednesday afternoon and he told her he would park the car. Instead, he drove off.
Fire department medics took the officer to a hospital for treatment.
The police spokesman says officers went to the driver’s home and waited for him to arrive. The 38-year-old man was arrested for investigation of felony assault and hit and run.
