(1090 The Fan) — The usual suspects definitely showed their greatness this past weekend in their respective team’s divisional playoff game, including the Seahawks’ own Marshawn Lynch who ran for 140 yards and had two touchdowns.
Rant Sports’ David Lewis took notice, however, of another Seahawk who wasn’t quite a front page headline name during the regular season: Michael Bennett. Lewis’ 10 Players Who Stepped Up During the Divisional Round credits Bennett has being one of the key components in the effort to make New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees uncomfortable in the pocket.
Lewis says, “Bennett’s forced fumble and recovery after tackling Mark Ingram exemplified” the Seahawks’ dominance against the Saints’ offense. He adds, “Bennett added another forced fumble in the third quarter with [Drew] Brees succumbing to Seattle’s pressure this time as the Seahawks claimed a 23-15 victory.”
