‘DangeRuss Dog’ To Join ‘Beast Burger’ This Weekend
(CBS Seattle) — He’s anything but a showboat, yet Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson is going to be a hot dog at CenturyLink Field on Sunday.
For the NFC Championship Game, the Seahawks and food and beverage partner Delaware North Sportservice will be serving a new hot dog inspired by Wilson’s love of mac ‘n’ cheese and hot dogs. Behold! The DangeRuss Dog!
The $12 foot-long hot dog is topped with Beecher’s mac ‘n’ cheese and caramelized onions. Underneath it all is house-made Sriracha honey hot sauce, diced jalapeno peppers and crispy “Seahawks Strips,” fried blue and green tortilla chips.
In addition, the Seahawks are honoring the 12th Man (or, “the 12s”) by spicing up the “12s Nachos.” The version features larger blue and green crispy tortilla chips that are more suitable for sharing. They are topped with chipotle cheese sauce, sour cream, guacamole, pico de gallo and green onions. The tortilla chips are produced by La Mexicana of Seattle.
Last week the Seahawks debuted “The Beast Burger” in honor of Marhsawn Lynch. The burger features two patties, two slabs of bacon, a layer of ham, two slices of cheddar, onion rings, a side of fries…and Skittles.
