(CBS Seattle) — The Seattle Seahawks-San Francisco 49ers rivalry took an interesting turn Wednesday night after a Capitol Hill sports bar promoted a picture of its marquee on social media.
The sign reads: “Sunday: Free admission for Seahawks Fans; 10 dollar cover for 49ers fans.”
When asked about if there was validity to the sign or whether it was purely for entertainment, the owner of ’95 Slide said, “A little of both.”
The establishment on East Pike Street was named after Ken Griffey Junior’s infamous slide into home plate that sent the Seattle Mariners to the 1995 American League Championship series.
The Seahawks and 49ers face off in the highly-anticipated NFC Championship Game on Sunday at CenturyLink Field.
