SALEM, Ore. (CBS Seattle) – As state investigators look into the failure of Oregon’s health care exchange website, lawmakers are looking for someone to blame.
Republican state Rep. Jason Conger says $200 million has already been wasted on the Cover Oregon website and suggests the remaining $100 million or so of federal money for the program be spent elsewhere.
Democratic Senator Ron Wyden tells KVAL-TV that it’s too early to rush to judgement and that Oregonians need to be patient.
Dr. Bruce Goldberg, the project’s executive director, told lawmakers last week that progress is being made.
Gov. John Kitzhaber says he will wait for the results of the investigation.
