(1090 The Fan) — Yes, it’s a baseball uniform, but seeing Russell Wilson in anything but a Seahawks uniform is a little eerie, right?

Don’t panic, the dude is just taking a vacation.

Wilson was drafted by the Colorado Rockies in the 2010 Major League Baseball Draft. As we all know, he chose to go with football after playing roughly 100 games for a couple of the Rockies’ minor league affiliates over the course of two summers.

We’re all pretty appreciative of his career decision.

Last December, as the Seahawks’ regular season came winding down, Wilson was acquired by the Texas Rangers in the Triple-A phase of the Rule 5 Draft.

So, the appearance next month will more or less be a fun one. And, no, it’s not an NFL rival’s uniform he’s sporting, but it is a Mariners‘ rival.
