Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Doug Baldwin is enjoying the “whirlwind” that has surrounded the team since dominating Super Bowl 48 last month, and the restricted free agent joined The Steve Sandmeyer Show Monday to discuss the offseason, the chance to win back-to-back Super Bowls and staying healthy.
Baldwin, who caught 50 balls for 778 yards and 5 scores in 2014, spoke candidly about what’s ahead for him as a performance, saying he doesn’t like to focus on specific goals. “I’ve gotten into the trap of having high expectations for myself where I set my goals and I’m so focused on the goals rather than focusing on the task at hand that I lose a little ground. I’m just trying to focus on the task at hand.”
The task at hand is running routes, catching passes, blocking and most of all winning football games, instead of looking to accomplish individual goals. Talk about the ultimate team player.
Baldwin also spoke about fellow wide receiver Jermaine Kearse’s improvement this past season. Check out the entire interview with Steve, Bill & Jason and the Seahawks’ receiver:
