(CBS Seattle) — Seattle police are investigating a home invasion robbery where an 84-year-old man was held at gunpoint.
Neighbors told KIRO TV that the homeowner is Sven Ellstrom, who own Ellstrom Manufacturing and regularly races hydroplanes at Seafair.
Police said the two suspects, who were wearing ski-masks, forced their way into the home in the 700 block of NW 120th Street through a back door just before midnight Tuesday. The homeowner believed to be Ellstrom and a 51-year-old woman were sleeping at the time.
The suspects pointed a gun at Ellstrom and demanded money. A purse and a diamond ring were stolen from the house. Police searched the area for the suspects but they were already gone. Ellstrom was not seriously injured.
Seattle police said the same house was robbed back in February 2013. Anyone who has information about the robbery is asked to contact Seattle police.
