(CBS Seattle)— Russell Wilson can add another title to his ever-expanding list of accomplishments: Best seller.
According to KING 5, Russell Wilson’s jersey has just surpassed Peyton Manning’s to become the top selling jersey in the NFL. Wilson also beat out the San Francisco 49ers’ Colin Kaepernick, Indianapolis Colts’ Andrew Luck, the Green Bay Packers’ Aaron Rodgers, New England Patriots’ Tom Brady and New Orleans Saints’ Drew Brees. Wilson’s teammate, RB Marshawn Lynch, also made the list — the only non-quarterback to be in the top 10.
The NFL Players Inc. (NFLPI) released the sales information Monday, with information from over 70 licensed retailers. Products include not only jerseys, but also bobbleheads, t-shirts and other merchandise.
“He absolutely is a national player. His product is selling everywhere,” Steve Scebelo, NFLPI Vice President of Licensing & Business Development, told Forbes.
According to KING 5, Wilson was no. 19 on the list last year.
