(1090 The Fan) — On Monday it was reported that a Las Vegas man had filed a $50 million lawsuit against the NFL claiming the league engaged in “economic discrimination” regarding the ticket-purchasing policy for the NFC Championship game in January.
John E. Williams is believes the rule that allowed only those in the Seahawks’ market to purchase tickets (directly) for the game should be illegal. As a result, he said, he suffered “economic discrimination and violation of public accommodation solely” because his credit card was not issued in the restrictive states or Canada — “which is not even part of the United States.”
It can be hard to step inside the shoes of a 49ers fan, but, if you’re able to remove yourself from being a 12 for a second, do you believe it is unfair policy to restrict buyers from other markets for playoff games?
