(1090 The Fan) — As expected for the 2014 NFL Draft, the Seahawks made a lot of trades and got creative in the later rounds.
In the second round, Seattle added Colorado wide receiver Paul Richardson and Missouri offensive tackle Justin Britt. In the fourth, fifth, sixth and seventh rounds, Seattle added six more players including a 304-pound defensive tackle from Middle Tennesse State, Jimmy Staten.
Former Washington Huskies quarterback Keith Price was also picked up by the Seahawks as an undrafted free agent.
As far as the rest of the NFC West, the Arizona Cardinals chose Washington State safety Deone Bucannon in the first round; the San Francisco 49ers added an explosive running back in the second round by picking up Ohio State’s Carlos Hyde; and the St. Louis Rams made history by drafting the first openly-gay NFL player in Michael Sam.
Who do you think was the winner in this year’s draft among the NFC West teams?
