UW Reinstates Miles, Stringfellow Transfers

(1090 The Fan) — University of Washington head football coach Chris Petersen announced quarterback Cyler Miles has been reinstated to the school’s program.

Miles and another teammate, wide receiver Demore’ea Stringfellow, were investigated earlier this year for an alleged assault that occurred on February 2. Both Miles and Stingfellow were subsequently suspended indefinitely by Petersen after the investigation was launched.

Sringellow eventually pleaded guilty to two counts of fourth-degree assault. No charges were ever filed against Miles.

The quarterback will participate in organized team activities immediately while Stringfellow announced he will transfer to another program.

Petersen also confirmed tailback Ryan McDaniel has retired from football due to ongoing knee injury issues.
