(1090 The Fan) — Seattle Mariners right-handed reliever Tom Wilhelmsen joined The Steve Sandmeyer show to chat about his pitching arsenal, the season thus far and which pitches he’s using more.

“I’m definitely starting to get the feel back for that curve ball, Wilhelmsen said. “It kinda eluded me for a long time last year and even the beginning of this year. I’m just going to trust my heater and try to get ahead with that. And then we’ll throw the nasty stuff later.”

He also spoke about throwing the change-up, cutter and the slider as well as how he feels throwing them in certain situations. “If that’s what it takes to get ahead of a batter, I’ll stick with it.” A few other subjects were broached: His role in the bullpen, the vibe around the clubhouse, how the bullpen reacts when King Felix is pitching, and more.
