(1090 The Fan) — To honor one of Major League Baseball’s greats, the Seattle Mariners will hold a pre-game ceremony for Derek Jeter, the New York Yankees’ shortstop who is slated to retire at the end of the 2014 season.
Mariners team officials say ahead of the Tuesday, June 10 Mariners-Yankees game at Safeco Field, there will be a highlight reel set to introduce Jeter to the fans in attendance at 6:50 pm. After the introduction, Jeter will be given gifts by various Seattle players.
Seattle hosts the Bronx Bombers for a three-game set from June 10-12.
