Washington Man Dead In Oregon Syrup Truck Crash

YAMHILL, Ore. (AP) — Oregon State Police say a Vancouver, Washington, man is dead after a tractor-trailer rig hauling syrup crashed southwest of Portland.

Lt. Gregg Hastings says the 42-year-old driver, Jason Alan Reynolds, was dead at the scene of Thursday’s crash on Highway 47 just north of Yamhill.

Hastings says the truck and trailer traveled across the highway while negotiating a right curve and rolled onto their side in a grassy field.

Some of the several hundred gallons of syrup in the trailer spilled into the field.
