(CBS Seattle) — Seattle police arrested a man Tuesday night after he went on a chaotic rampage through the Capitol Hill and Eastlake neighborhoods.
According to a police report, an unidentified man in his 30s wearing a white t-shirt and no pants was seen throwing rocks and denting and smashing cars near Lakeview Boulevard and Belmont Avenue East.
Upon arrival, officers found that the man had torn out patches of his own hair. When questioned about his identity, the man made up a fake name and proceeded to take of running. A chase between the officers and the suspect ensued causing the man to pick up a large rock and throw towards the officers. While running, the man stripped himself of the remaining clothing he had on.
Officers eventually found the naked suspect lying on his back in a planting strip about a half-mile from the scene of the original incident. The man told officers he had taken cocaine, methamphetamines, LSD and other unidentified drugs earlier in the evening.
Charges against the man have not been filed by anyone yet.
The suspect remains in custody.
