(1090 The Fan) — Seattle Mariners General manager Jack Zduriencik joined The Steve Sandmeyer Show to talk about wildcards, the trade deadline, and the current roster.
“The challenge is to be patient. We’ve got discussions going on. We’ve got irons in the fire. We’ll do what ever we can to improve the club. Everybody wants a hitter. But if the hitter isn’t there, you can’t get the hitter you want. Or if he’s unobtainable for any reason, you might have to go another direction. We are prepared to do that if it makes the club better. In the end, our goal is to make this club better if we can. However, if we do nothing, which I’d be surprised if that happens, this kids are growing. This is a fun club to watch right now.”
He also chatted about fan support, minor league prospects, and much more.
