SPOKANE, Wash. (AP / CBS Seattle) — Police in Washington state say a gunman fatally shot his wife before turning the weapon on himself at a downtown Spokane medical center.
Spokane police said a man went to his wife’s workplace in the Deaconess Medical Center complex Tuesday morning and opened fire. He then killed himself.
Police said no one else was injured in the shooting.
A medical center employee called 911 to report the shooting around 9:30 am PST. Witnesses claim to have heard four to six shots fired, according to KREM.
The shooting is believed to be the result of domestic violence. The man and woman reportedly had two children — both were found safe.
