PORTLAND (CBS Seattle) – After crashing a Jeep into a neighbor’s house, a 3-year-old did what many of us probably would rather do after an accident… he went home to watch cartoons.

A police officer in Myrtle Creek, Oregon first noticed the boy sitting in an unattended Jeep Wrangler around 9 a.m., reports KOIN-TV.

After about five minutes, during which no adults came to get the boy, the officer approached him. He said his parents weren’t home and that another relative was asleep in the house.

The officer took the boy home, woke up the relative, Brennan Pennington, and issued a warning.

But that warning apparently went unheeded. The same boy got back into the Jeep around 7:3o that evening, say police. This time the boy somehow set the vehicle in motion and it hit a nearby house.

The child ran back home, went inside and watched cartoons on TV “as if nothing had ever happened,” say police.

Pennington was issued a citation for the incident.
