(1090 The Fan) — Seattle Mariners Assistant General Manager Jeff Kingston called in to The Steve Sandmeyer Show Thursday just a couple hours after the Major League Baseball trade deadline expired.
In case you missed it, Seattle acquired Austin Jackson from the Detroit Tigers and Chris Denorfia from the San Diego Padres without giving up anyone on the Major League roster. Kingston talked about how much more rewarding it was this year to be a buyer rather than a seller saying, “Jackson fills several needs of ours, and we feel like we made the club better for both this year and next year.”
“We’re excited,” Kingston said. “I know Lloyd and his staff are excited.”
