Thunderbirds Send Yakubowski To Moose Jaw For Draft Pick

(1090 The Fan) – The Seattle Thunderbirds have traded forward Jaimen Yakubowski to the Moose Jaw Warriors in exchange for a third round pick in the 2016 Bantam Draft.

“Jaimen was a valuable contributor to our team last year and had an outstanding playoff series against Everett,” general manager Russ Farwell said in a press release. “We wish him the best of luck in Moose Jaw.”

The 20-year-old forward appeared in 47 games for Seattle in the 2013-14 season. He tallied nine goals and 10 assists for 19 points, with 128 penalty minutes. In 192 games with the Lethbridge Hurricanes and T-Birds over four seasons Yakubowski has 58 goals, 39 assists for 97 points and 386 penalty minutes.

The T-Birds home opener for the 2014-15 regular season is Saturday, September 20, against the Everett Silvertips at ShoWare Center at 7:05pm.
