Greenwood Man Arrested After Making Threats To Seattle Mosque

Updated 3:32 pm — A 37-year-old man involved in a Greenwood standoff is now in custody.

Seattle Police say the man made online threats against a Seattle mosque, and said in another post he had purchased an assault rifle and ammunition.

The Seattle Police Department received this information from the FBI.

The man had been previously contacted as part of an investigation into threats to a separate mosque.

SEATTLE (CBS) — Seattle police are responding to a report of an armed and barricaded man in a north Seattle building.

The area in question is near North 117th Street and Greenwood Avenue North, per KIRO. Expect traffic delays.

Police say SWAT and hostage negotiators are on the scene.
