SEATTLE (CBS) — The Seattle Seahawks signed Doug Baldwin to a 4-year extension, according to multiple reports, putting the veteran wide receiver under contract with Seattle through 2020.
710 ESPN’s Gee Scott was the first to report the deal.
ESPN’s Adam Caplan reports the extension is worth $46 million, with just over $24 million guaranteed.
Baldwin has spent his entire career with Seattle, first joining the team as an undrafted rookie free agent in 2011. Through five (regular) seasons, Baldwin has 274 catches for 3,826 yards and 29 touchdowns. In 2015, Baldwin recorded career highs in catches (78), receiving yards (1,069) and touchdowns (14 — the most single-season touchdowns by any Seahawks player in franchise history). Baldwin also joined Hall of Famer Jerry Rice as one of the only two wide receivers to have 10 touchdown receptions through a four-game span.
The Seahawks have yet to confirm the extension.
