SPOKANE, Wash. (AP) — Officials say a fugitive from Florida has been arrested after he threw about six Molotov cocktails into an occupied Spokane home this month.
The Spokane Fire Department said Friday that U.S. marshals arrested 36-year-old Cameron Butler in Moses Lake, after agents with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives identified him as a suspect.
Investigators say six Molotov cocktails were thrown into the home on Spokane’s East Side at about 5:30 a.m. on July 21. Two adults and four children were inside, and one of the devices started a fire in an occupied bedroom. A Spokane police officer reached the scene first and extinguished it.
Authorities did not immediately specify what connection, if any, Butler may have had to anyone inside the home. The ATF did not immediately return a call seeking further information.
