TACOMA, Wash. — The Tacoma Rainiers have claimed the Pacific Coast League Pacific Northern Division crown and secured a spot in the 2016 playoffs.
Tickets for the Rainiers first home playoff game on Friday, Sep. 9 will be available starting tomorrow morning at 10 a.m. PT, and can be purchased by visiting www.tacomarainiers.com, calling 1-800-745-3000, or by visiting the Cheney Stadium Box Office.
This marks the first time since 2010 that the Rainiers have qualified for postseason play, and the fifth time since affiliating with the Seattle Mariners in 1995.
Tacoma will open postseason play with a best-of-five Conference Championship series against the El Paso Chihuahuas beginning on Wednesday, Sep. 7. The first two games of the series will be played at Southwest University Park in El Paso, Texas. The two clubs will then arrive at Cheney Stadium for game three and, if necessary, games four and five.
Should the Rainiers advance to the PCL Championship Series, Cheney Stadium will play host to the first two games in the best-of-five series against the American Conference Champions.

The winner of the PCL Championship Series will meet the International League Champion for the 2016 Gildan Triple-A National Championship Game on Tuesday, Sep. 20 at AutoZone Park in Memphis, Tennessee.
