Anthony Brown and Josh Huestis scored 15 points apiece to lead the Cardinal, while guard Marcus Allen added 11 points off the bench. Stanford (11-5, 2-2) outscored the Cougars 40-19 in the second half as it pulled away for the Pac-12 conference victory.
Que Johnson led the Cougars with 14 points, fellow guard Kernich-Drew added 11 points and forward D.J. Shelton pulled down a team-high eight rebounds.
In the 5-minute overtime period, Colorado (14-2, 3-0) went on a 10-4 run to take command of the game. Despite a couple late threes that brought the Cougars to within one, Washington State suffered its third straight conference loss to open the Pac-12 season.
Marshall scored 26 points on 9-for-14 shooting, including 4-for-7 from 3-point range to lead the Sun Devils. Sophomore point guard Jahii Carson scored 14 points and Kentridge High School alum, Shaquielle McKissic, added 12 points and nine rebounds.
Kaleb Tarczewski scored 11 points while much-hyped freshman Aaron Gordon grabbed 10 rebounds to go with his five points, as Arizona (14-0, 1-0) got contributions up and down its roster to win the Pac-12 conference opener for each university.

UTEP controlled the matchup with Washington State from near the midway point of the first half as it built a 28-17 halftime lead. They shot 51 percent from the field, and went 15-for-20 from the free-throw line.
The second half was all Washington State as they outscored the Gators 37-19. The victory came on a neutral site — Kennewick, WA — and was just the first matchup between the two squads since 1991. The San Francisco Gators (4-3) reside in the CCAA, a Division II school in a conference with the likes of Chico State and San Bernardino.
Washington State (5-4) opened the game on a 10-0 run and never looked back. The Cougars would take a 41-26 lead into the break, watch the Waves make a run to close to within seven points with 6:43 to play, before ultimately pulling away in the end to win by 17.
DaVonte Lacy scored 23 points and D.J. Shelton added 10 points and 14 rebounds and hit two key free throws to help Washington State beat Idaho 67-66 Saturday.
