The University of Washington says no state or university funding was used for the stadium renovation project. The Drive for Husky Stadium raised $51.8 million. Revenues associated with the stadium will be used to pay the remaining debt.

Back in 1998 a massive (for the time) video board was moved into the east end. It was called 'Huskytron' and measured 23 feet by 42 feet. Compare that with today's 31x108 foot screen.
