DANCE This! brings together local teen dancers and guest artists from diverse communities around the Sound (and the world). They perform cross-cultural dances, both traditionally rooted and contemporary, sharing their culture through the art of dance. They’ll be performing on Friday and Saturday, July 13 and 14, at Seattle’s Moore Theatre.
When you think of Ethiopian food, you think of spices. Mainly vegetable and meat dishes, usually in the form of wat, which is a thick stew, and injera, a large sourdough flatbread. The stew is made with spicy peppers and meat or fish, or a variety of vegetables. The dishes are served family-style, and using utensils is optional, which kids love. Dip the injera into the hearty stews and sauces, and enjoy.
