If last year’s launch of Apple’s iPad 2 is any guide, the new Apple iPad model will go on sale in the U.S. next week, likely on Friday, giving even more competition to Seattle based Amazon.com and its Kindle Fire.
Legislation designed to encourage major online retailers like Amazon.com to locate in New Jersey has been introduced, according to the Associated Press. The legislation would allow Amazon to forego sales tax collections until September of 2013 in exchange for its $65 million investment.
On the heels of the Seattle Public Library’s announcement that they have over 11,000 titles available to check out for Kindles, comes Amazon.com’s unveiling of the Kindle Fire tablet computer.
