The Navy has canceled the Blue Angels air show at this summer’s Seafair celebration in Seattle.

The Washington State Department of Transportation will close all lanes of Interstate 90 across Lake Washington several times from Thursday, August 2 through Sunday, August 5, to accommodate air show practices and performances by the U.S. Navy Blue Angels for this year’s Seafair festivities.
Three Navy ships and the Navy’s Blue Angels jets are arriving in Seattle. They’ll practice Thursday and Friday and perform Saturday and Sunday over the hydroplane race course on Lake Washington.
