Early Warning System Not As Fast As Hoped Following Washington Earthquake

A magnitude-4.3 earthquake that rumbled under Washington state’s Cascade Range early Wednesday was “not a great advertisement” for an early warning system undergoing tests, an official said.

Cascades, Central Washington Forecast For Snow

Forecasters say a storm blowing into Washington Thursday night and Friday will bring rain to western Washington and snow to the mountains. It also will bring snow or freezing rain to parts of eastern Washington that will persist through the weekend.
