The Huskies fell to Utah 67-61, Wednesday, potentially ending the team’s 2013-14 campaign on a rather bitter note.
Que Johnson led the Cougars with 14 points, fellow guard Kernich-Drew added 11 points and forward D.J. Shelton pulled down a team-high eight rebounds.
A strong defensive effort from Washington (10-6, 2-1) enabled it to hold off a solid Utes team which entered third in the Pac-12 in scoring with an 85.5 points-per-game average. The Huskies limited the Utes to 41.5 percent shooting for the game.
