Early Goals Help Thunderbirds Cruise Past Americans

Friday’s victory came on the heels of a dominant 4-1 win over Spokane Sunday when the team opened a 2-0 lead. Suddenly, Seattle (12-12-2-2) has won three of its last four after losing five of six.

Maxwell’s Late Goal Helps Seattle Hold Off Tri-City

Shea Theodore had three assists and Mathew Barzal provided two to lead the Thunderbirds’ scorers on a night the team won their eighth consecutive home game and earned their first season series win over Tri-City since the 2004-05 campaign.

Roberts Lipsbergs scored twice, Shea Theodore had a goal and newly acquired Adam Henry, playing in his first game as a T-Bird, scored with :03 remaining in the first period to stake Seattle to a 2-0 lead it never relinquished.
