Mount St. Helens has become one of the most popular destinations for hikers in Washington state.

Settled in 1851, Port Townsend was originally named “Port Townshend”, by George Vancouver, for his friend the Marquis of Townshend. Found to be a safe harbor, the community thrived on fishing and shipping. Many of its original Victorian homes and beautiful early 1900’s buildings remain.
