A child who lives on Mercer Island likely has E. coli, public health officials said Sunday.
Health and utility inspectors have not been able to find the source of the bacteria, and the city is considering sending divers to check its two closed water tanks, Mercer Island spokesman Ross Freeman said Friday
The city issued another boil water advisory Thursday and ordered all restaurants in the Seattle suburb to close.
The city said Monday morning the latest samples have tested clear of E. coli.
Sammamish, Snoqualmie, Bainbridge Island and Mercer Island are among the safest cities in Washington state, according to the Movoto Real Estate site.
