President Barack Obama plans a brief visit near Seattle to survey damage from a recent mudslide that killed more than three dozen people.

Death Toll In Washington Mudslide Rises To 37

One more victim has been recovered from the mudslide that hit the town of Oso, raising the death toll to 37, the Snohomish County medical examiner’s office said Tuesday. The person’s name has not been released.

A Seattle hospital spokeswoman says an 81-year-old man injured in the deadly March 22 mudslide at Oso has been discharged. That leaves just one mudslide victim still at Harborview Medical Center.
