Keegan Kolesar scored two goals and added an assist to lead Seattle (17-15-2-2) to just its second win in five games against division-leading Everett (21-11-3-1). Ethan Bear had a late goal to go with two assists, and reserve goaltender Danny Mumaugh had 28 saves in his sixth start.
A late third period penalty on Seattle’s Justin Hickman led to the game-tying goal by Everett’s Graham Millar. As the 10th shooter in the shootout, Carter Cochrane scored to give the Tips a 3-2 win in the game between U.S. Division rivals.
Delnov scored two second period goals to give the Thunderbirds a 2-1 lead and the team never looked back from that point forward. Playing alongside Delnov on the T-Birds’ third line, Branden Troock (goal) and Ryan Gropp (goal and two assists) also had good games.
