As the 49ers look back on this season, it will not be positive. The team almost had a losing record, and missed the playoffs after 3 straight NFC Championship games. However, the teams awful season has to do with injuries than anything else, and a problem that shouldn’t haunt them next season.
San Francisco possesses a fast defense; their ends are fast, their linebackers are fast and despite not having the All-Pro secondary the Seahawks boast, they, too, can run and cover ground. Giving them more ground to cover is large advantage to Wilson and the Seahawks.
When the 49ers and Seahawks meet for the third time this season the stakes could not be higher. The winner will move on to the Super Bowl, while the loser will have to deal with falling just short of the big stage and to make matters worse at the hands of their hated division rival.
