Seattle is ranked as one of the top ten smartest cities in the country based on criteria including universities or colleges per person, libraries per person and education level.
Seattle based Amazon.com announced their top selling books of 2012. Interestingly, E.L. James’ Fifty Shades trilogy, based in the Northwest, made the number one spot in print and Kindle sales for Amazon.
In the September 2011 issue of Travel + Leisure magazine, Seattle is ranked 7th out of 10 in the article “America’s Top Cities for Foodies”.
