Thunderbirds Notebook: Taran Kozun Looking Ahead

Kozun yielded three goals in 15:49 of the first period before being pulled for backup Logan Flodell with Seattle in a 3-0 hole. He was caught out of position on the Royals’ first two goals before being beat by a great pass on the third goal.

Victoria Hands “Loose” T-Birds 6-3 Loss

A team head coach Steve Konowalchuk described as “pretty loose” in the hours leading up to the 5 p.m. start, was trounced by Victoria (32-21-3-1) over the first 20 minutes en route to a 6-3 loss in front of 4,368 at the ShoWare Center. Not the way Seattle (29-21-3-4) wanted to begin its six-game homestand.

Despite Squandering Early Lead, T-Birds Get Important Win Over Victoria To End First Half

Just as thoughts of a disastrous first-half conclusion began forming, Seattle (14-15-2-2) answered with two late goals from Donovan Neuls and Ryan Gropp to earn a 5-4 victory in front of 5,099 at the ShoWare Center.

Second Consecutive Six Goal Effort Leads Seattle Past Royals

Delnov picked up right where he left off Friday night, scoring just 2:11 into the first period and Roberts Lipsbergs followed just 38 seconds later to put the T-Birds quickly ahead 2-0. Facing a goalie on a run like Polivka had been on, Seattle made sure not to let him settle in.
