One Arrest In Latest Seattle Ferguson Protest

Seattle police Chief Kathleen O’Toole says police made one arrest Monday night as demonstrators again targeted the city’s downtown Westlake Center mall area in protest of a Missouri grand jury decision not to indict a police officer who fatally shot a black teenager. The protest was peaceful.

Ferguson Protesters Enter Seattle Shopping Center

Dozens of people in Seattle protested the grand jury decision in Missouri not to indict a police officer who fatally shot a black teenager by blocked streets and entered a mall as they tried to disrupt activity in Seattle’s main downtown shopping district.

Security Guard Shot In Westlake Center Robbery Attempt

One man was wounded and a suspect was arrested shortly after a shooting and robbery in downtown Seattle Friday morning, police said. Spokesman Mark Jamieson said it began as an attempted robbery at a jewelry store near Westlake Center around 10:30 a.m.
