Ahoy there! The Opening Day of Boating Season kicks off on Saturday, May 5 in Seattle. Come see the parade of boats and University of Washington crew racing at the biggest regional celebration of water, boats and springtime in the US!
The first day of boating will officially begin at noon on Saturday, May 7. The Montlake Bridge will rise, the noontime cannon will fire and the Opening Day Parade will begin at Portage Bay. This is the largest regional boating event in the nation, and even if you’re not on a boat, you can enjoy it.
