Lunar New Year Celebrations in Seattle

2012 is the Year of the Dragon, the mightiest of signs in the Chinese zodiac. The Chinese New Year, also known as the Lunar New Year, occurs every year on the new moon of the first lunar month, about four to eight weeks before spring. There are many celebrations around Seattle to marking the dragon’s new year.

Honeysuckle was the color for 2011, according to Pantone LLC. And although it was a color that comforted us during slow economic times, Pantone says Tangerine will give us the burst we need to forge ahead in 2012.
