Still fairly new but becoming more popular is the outdoor game of cornhole. If you are unfamiliar with the game, it is simply a game of tossing bean bags into holes of a slanted wooden platform. It is much like a game of horseshoes, and for many, they cannot play a game without a beer in the other hand. If you’re looking for more fun after checking out the “Best Bars with Drinking Games in Seattle,” check out these five “best bars” for cornhole.

The Hollywood Tavern is located right smack dab in the middle of the Woodinville wine country. It’s been there since 1923, when it was a service station, and then turned into a tavern in 1947. Though it was recently remodeled in 2013, the place still has its original charm. The relaxed, beautiful tavern offers up 32 varieties of whiskey, six beers on tap and simple food choices like cheeseburgers, fresh pastas and its own house-made soft serve ice cream. www.peddlerbrewing.com

Keeping up with the ever-increasing biking community in Ballard, the Peddler Brewing Company honors this unique group of people with a microbrewery and tasting room with bikers in mind. The name has a double meaning: the owners, Dave Keller and Haley Woods, spend time making and selling beer and are biking enthusiasts themselves – so they are literally “peddlers.” The tap room offers eight varieties of beer, a large bar and tables for indoor guests and an outdoor patio for when the weather is nice. Peddler doesn’t serve food, but you are allowed to bring some if you like. Kids and dogs are welcome, too.
