The city of Seattle is virtually surrounded by water on all sides. So, it is no surprise that the majority of its restaurants — including Mexican eateries and taco trucks — have some type of fresh seafood on the menu. Whether you’re looking for a quaint sit-down style restaurant, or a fast-food style joint that makes homemade Mexican foods and fish tacos, there are several exceptional choices in various Seattle neighborhoods.

The seafood-inspired ceviche is delicious as well, as it’s made with shrimp, lime, tomatoes, onions and specialty spices.

La Carta De Oaxaca has been voted “best Mexican restaurant” by readers of “Seattle Weekly” for its authentic cuisine, which is inspired by the region of Oaxaca, Mexico. This busy eatery may have you standing in line waiting at times, but it’s well worth it. Especially when you get to savor the taste of its perfectly-prepared halibut fish tacos, which are made with pico de gallo, cabbage and the restaurant’s signature chipotle pepper cream sauce. Another menu item to try — the Oaxacan mole negro and fish soup, which contains halibut, well-toasted chili peppers (to give the soup its darkened color), onions, tomatoes, cloves and more.
