Summertime in Seattle serves up a myriad of opportunities for our military service members to exercise and have fun outdoors. The call to spend time soaking up sunshine must be heeded, for there is nothing more beautiful than summer in the Pacific Northwest. Because Seattle also gets a lot of rain, however, it’s nice to have both indoor and outdoor options. A selection of sports stores in the area salutes our soldiers by offering a military discount to active military personnel with ID.

Die hard golfers will hit the greens in almost any weather conditions, but when the sun is shining there are some stunning and challenging courses in the Pacific Northwest region. First opened by the Puetz brothers in 1945, the local driving range was the first of its kind in the northwest. The store offered top of the line clubs at discounted price points. Two generations later, Puetz Golf is still providing its customers with great service and competitively priced golf equipment. Larry Baush from Puetz Golf states that the company offers a military discount of 10 percent on soft goods, like clothing, and 5 percent on hard goods, like clubs and balls. PING products are excluded, but they have their own military discount program.
