Ferry ~ 10th St. boat Launch
10th and W. Marine View Drive
Everett, WA. 98201
Jetty Island is the perfect place to spend a summer day. With two miles of sandy beaches, nature trails to explore and water warm enough for wading, your kiddos will have a blast. Beautiful but primitive, you’ll need to bring everything (towels, snacks, sunscreen, beach umbrella, sweaters, etc) your family will need with you. While the beach is a terrific choice for all ages, strollers and/or wheelchairs would have trouble navigating the terrain. Jetty Island is accessible only via a free five-minute ferry ride out of Everett. This summer, the ferry will run daily from July 5 through September 2, 2013. Parking is free Monday to Thursday with a fee charged Friday to Sunday.

Nothing says summer like splashing around with friends in an outside pool. Seattle has two great outdoor venues for families to enjoy during the summer months. The Coleman Pool is an Olympic-size saltwater pool (kept at 82 degrees) that overlooks the beach in Lincoln Park. The pool sports both a low and high dive as well as a giant tube slide ($1) which requires passing a short swim test before using. The Mounger Pool has two pools, making it the perfect choice for families that have both younger and older kiddos. Swimmers will enjoy the Olympic-sized pool (85 degrees) with a 50-foot corkscrew slide while non-swimmers can play in the shallow pool which is kept at a toasty 94 degrees.
