With such a diverse nightlife, Seattle is one of the best places in the Pacific Northwest for a night on the town. The city is home to hundreds of bars, pubs, dance clubs and lounges, so your choices are endless when it comes to a place to hang out and have a few drinks. For those seeking an entertaining bar-hopping opportunity, consider checking out one of Seattle’s annual pub crawls that allow you to visit multiple bars in one night and sample each location’s best beers and liquors.

Dates: May 3-5, 2013

This three-day event will take place in downtown Seattle from May 3 to 5. However, the participating venues have yet to be announced. Friday, May 3 will be the Happy Hour-themed pub crawl, while Saturday, May 4 is the Derby de Mayo pub crawl. Sunday, May 5 is the Cinco de Mayo holiday and will have the last pub crawl at 12 p.m. Each participating venue will have drink specials at specific times. Some may offer two-for-one drink specials, while others may have discounted drink prices. In the spirit of Cinco de Mayo, pub crawl participants are encouraged to dress in the traditional colors of black, red, green and white, or in mariachi or matador costumes. As one of the biggest pub crawls of the year, it is one that you and your friends won’t want to skip.

Back for its second year, the annual Alki Pirate Pub Crawl will take place along Alki Beach beginning at the Cactus Restaurant and this year, ending at Christo’s Greek restaurant. This is a free event, but donations are welcomed and given to the Susan G. Komen Three-Day Walk for the Cure. Dress as a pirate and practice talking like a pirate for this fun event. Pub crawl participants can drink, dance and party throughout the night at The Celtic Swell where local band The True Romans will be playing late into the evening.

The second annual Seattle Super Hero Pub Crawl is back to raise awareness and funds for the Northwest Alzheimer’s Association. This event features a costume contest and a raffle, so come dressed as your favorite super hero or villain and be ready to win prizes. Pub crawl venues have yet to be announced, but will most likely be in the Belltown district of Seattle, the same as the previous year. Donations are welcomed and will get you your first drink free, plus five raffle entries.

It’s never too early to start planning events for Halloween. After all, it’s one of the most popular holidays of the year. Seattle’s Halloween Pub Crawl is back for a third year to take you on a bar-hopping adventure for a full eight hours. For this pub crawl, more than 500 people show up each year to visit five to six bars in the downtown Seattle area. Participating bars have yet to be announced, so keep checking the pub crawl’s Facebook events page. Since it is Halloween themed, costumes are required and comfortable walking shoes are recommended since the walking distance will be over a mile. There are no cover charges to participate, but you will be responsible for the price of your drinks.
