Thursday Nights at Olympic Sculpture Park

Check out the FREE, all-ages, drop-in art-making taught by local artists and grab some dinner from food trucks while enjoying live entertainment. Visit the kids’ play area for ages 5 and younger. Experience live performances by some of Seattle’s hottest musicians. The ever-popular Art of Jazz with Earshot Jazz on the second Thursday of the month moves to the park this summer, with the addition of other exciting performances. Beach Walk

Join a low tide beach walk and help identify tide pool creatures with naturalists from Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium. Results of the marine creatures’ presence and location will be recorded and the information will be uploaded to the NatureMapping database. 9:30am to 12:30pm on Thursday, July 14, 10:30am to 1:30pm on Sunday, July 31. Cost: FREE.

FREE Admission from 10am to 5pm on Thursdays – June through August. The Broadway Farmers Market takes place just outside the museum’s doors 10:30am to 4pm.

Book Walk

Take a walk with your little ones and explore while reading the book, Where Would I Be in an Evergreen Tree? The book will be on the trail for a week. Pick up the trail map at the front desk. 9am to 8pm.

Bring your family and friends to Hing Hay Park and play a game of table
 tennis. International District Community Center staff will have various games and activities for the entire family to play and enjoy. 3:00pm to 6pm Wednesdays and Fridays July 6 through August 26.

Open Mic Night

Take the microphone at Tim Noah Thumbnail Theater. Songs, instruments, skits and jokes – anything family-friendly is welcome. 7:30pm on Fridays, sign-up starts at 7:00pm. Suggested donation $5, $3 performers.

Soundbridge activities include musical storytelling, instrument exploration, workshops, and adventures for the whole family! Free admission to Seattle Symphony’s Soundbridge on Fridays from 12:00pm to 4:00pm. Donations accepted.

Garden Walk

Drop in to Shoreline’s Kruckeberg Botanic Garden with your young children this summer for a fun exploration of plants in this unique, naturalistic garden. Each week we’ll offer a simple plant activity, a themed garden exploration, and a related craft project. Best suited for ages 2 to 7. Come any time between 10:00am to 1:00pm. $5 per family.
