Wenatchee AKC All Breed Dog Show

The dog show, accredited by the American Kennel Club, draws dog enthusiasts from around Washington, Oregon, California, Idaho, Montana and Canada. It begins at 8:00am each day and ends about 7:00pm. Some 150 ribbons and 100 trophies will be given away. There will be about 10 show rings. Seminars each morning at 8:00am for anyone who is unfamiliar with dog show rules, so they can better follow along during the weekend. And several vendors will be set up selling all things dog related (and dog enthusiast related). The event is free to the public.

Trek Tri-Island Bike Tour

Trek Tri-Island, a three-day bicycle tour of the San Juan Islands will take place September 16-19 to benefit the American Lung Association of the Mountain Pacific. Riders will tour Orcas, Lopez and San Juan Islands, and stay overnight at Friday Harbor High School (although riders have the option of staying at a bed & breakfast or other hotel). Short and long routes (20 or 50+ miles) are offered each day. All proceeds benefit the programs of the American Lung Association.
